A dream return
Position: Forward
Real Madrid appearances: 51
Goals scored: 20
Joselu earned the affections of the madridistas thanks to his hard work and dedication during two spells as a Real Madrid player.
He arrived at the Real Madrid academy in 2010, joining Castilla, where he played a key role in getting the madridista youth side promoted to the Second Division. Prior to this, he made his first-team debut in a clash with Almería, getting on the scoresheet just three minutes after coming off the bench.
After spending time playing in Germany, England and elsewhere in Spain, Joselu returned home for the 2023/24 campaign. He made 49 appearances that season, netting 18 goals, five of which came in the Champions League. Most memorable was his brace in the semi-finals against Bayern Munich, which sealed our team's place in the final that yielded La Decimoquinta, completing another remarkable Santiago Bernabéu comeback. Besides the European Cup, he also got his hands on the LaLiga title and the Spanish Super Cup.
