Real Madrid C. F. and Walter Tavares have agreed an extension to the player's contract, linking him to the club for the following five seasons.

In his 7 seasons playing in our colours, Tavares has won 14 titles: 2 European Cups, 4 Leagues, 2 Copas del Rey and 6 Spanish Super Cups.

He has been named in the EuroLeague best five on three occasions (2020/21, 2021/22, 2022/23), and the same goes for the League (2018/19, 2020/21, 2022/23). He also clinched 1 MVP in the Final Four (2023), 1 MVP in the Endesa League final (2021/22) and 1 MVP in the Spanish Super Cup (2022). He has been named best defender in the EuroLeague on 3 occasions (2018/19, 2020/21, 2022/23) and in the Endesa League 4 times (2020/21, 2021/22, 2022/23, 2023/24).

Since arriving at the club, Walter Tavares has become a crucial member of the team and one of Europe's outstanding centers, cementing his place in one of the most successful periods of our history.
