Seven years without Raymond Kopa
NEWS.

It was on 3 March 2017 that madridismo bid farewell to one of its legends. Raymond Kopa passed away at the age of 85, but his memory is still present as one of the great stars of the team that won the early European Cups. The Frenchman played for Real Madrid between 1956 and 1959 and in that period won the top continental competition three times.

Kopa is a member of one of the best strike forces in the history of football, alongside RialPuskasGento and Di Stéfano. He won three European Cups, two LaLiga titles and one Copa Latina. He played 103 games for Real Madrid, scored 30 goals and won the Ballon d'Or in 1958. He is also a key figure in the history of Stade de Reims and the French national team.
