1-2: Güler guides Turkey into last 16 of European Championship
The madridista started and played 75 minutes in the victory against the Czech Republic.
Arda Güler joins the other 10 madridistas who have reached the last 16 of the European Championship. Turkey made it through after beating the Czech Republic and the midfielder played 75 minutes of the clash.
The Czechs were reduced to ten men in the 20th minute when Barák was given his marching orders. Turkey took advantage of the numerical advantage to make it 1-0 through Çalhanoğlu (51'), but a quarter of an hour later Souček restored parity. In stoppage time, Tosun struck the winning goal (1-2). After advancing to the last 16, Turkey will now take on Austria in Leipzig (Tuesday, 2 July, 9 pm CEST).
