Arda Güler played a big role in handing Turkey the win in their Euro opener, hitting a truly special goal against Georgia. The madridista was named in the starting XI, playing 79 minutes at Dortmund's BVB Stadion.

The Turkish side went ahead through Müldür with 25 minutes gone, but Mikautadze levelled just seven minutes later. With just over an hour on the clock, Arda Güler had his country back in front (2-1; min. 65). Pouncing on the ball in the opposition half, he unleashed a delightful curling effort with his left boot which flew into the top right-hand corner of the net. In injury time, Aktürkoğlu made it 3-1 when he finished off a swift counter to clinch Turkey's first win in Group F on their competition debut.
