Chus Mateo: "We're approaching the game against Bayern as a final"
"We have to do things well for the whole 40 minutes," added Deck.

Chus Mateo discussed the match against Bayern Munich in the press room at Real Madrid City in the second and final game of the Play-in Showdown (Friday, 8.45 pm CEST): “We're approaching the game against Bayern as a final that gives us a chance to get into the playoffs. Our opponents have shown that they're difficult to beat. They're good three-point shooters, they're good one-on-one players and they have very mobile centres. We have to produce a very complete performance against a team that plays really good basketball.”
“The team is mentally strong. We won everything since the Virtus game in the Regular Season but it didn't help us get into the playoffs. We forgot to play with more pace and head against Paris. Now we have to show desire and heart against Bayern, but we must also have the ability to know when it's time to win the game.”
Final stretch of the season
“We have to believe in ourselves, in our work, and face things as they come. It's a vital game and we're going to go for it. We have two very intense months ahead of us, but we have to grit our teeth despite some players suffering from fatigue.”
Deck: “We have to be highly focused”
“We have to be highly focused because it's a final and we have to be up to the job. It'll be a tough match, we have to do things well for the whole 40 minutes.”
