Chus Mateo: “We’re ready to face an important game in a very complicated court”.
"We have 11 wins in a row and that says a lot about our consistency" said the coach in the preview ahead of the Unicaja game (Sunday, 6:30 pm CET).
Chus Mateo spoke to Realmadrid TV the day before the 24th league match against Unicaja, which will be played away (6:30 pm CET). The coach said: “Unicaja is such a great team that is winning titles, with the difficulty that requires in these competitions. It's not a surprise anymore that we’re going to a difficult court to play a team that play really well and that we know inside out. We've got a score to settle from having lost the Super Cup and the Copa del Rey against them.
“They’re doing things very well, we’ve needed a little more time to adjust certain things and we’re still in the process of fine-tuning. But we’re in position to face a very difficult game in a very difficult court”.

“We have 11 wins in a row and that says a lot about our consistency. The fluidity of the game is not yet what we would like, but we’re still relentlessly searching for it. We’re not going to give up on the idea of playing much better offensively”.
Objectives
“We have an important game ahead of us, but we also have our sights set on making the Euroleague playoffs. It's a goal we set at the beginning of the season, like the others, and we've made it to two finals. We're still in two competitions and we're leading the league and we're showing a pretty solid version of ourselves, but we need to not lose sight of what we're looking at out of the corner of our eye, which is making the playoffs.”
