Real Madrid came out on top against Valladolid thanks to goals from Valverde, Brahim and debutant Endrick.

After three months away, it was a triumphant return for Real Madrid to the Santiago Bernabéu. Our team beat Valladolid in the second match of the LaLiga season. Valverde put Ancelotti‘s side ahead from a free-kick after the break, Brahim made it 2-0 in 88th minute and debutant Endrick made it 3-0 in stoppage time. Mbappé also made his first appearance as a Madrid player in our stadium.
After presenting the European Super Cup to the crowd, Madrid were quick onto the front foot. Hein kept out a Mbappé effort following a good long pass from Rüdiger (9 mins). Valladolid responded seven minutes later with a deflected shot from Machis. Ancelotti's side set the tempo and controlled possession but were unable to create any clear-cut chances. Tchouameni then looked to catch the Estonian goalkeeper out with a long-range effort (23 mins).
Valverde makes it 1-0
Everything changed after the interval. Real Madrid came out all guns blazing and in the 50th minute went 1-0 up. Arda Güler took a quick free-kick, Rodrygo laid it off and Valverde's right-footed shot from just outside the area was unstoppable for Hein after taking a touch from Jurić. Valladolid hit back with two dangerous moves on the hour mark. Courtois kept out Meseguer's cross with a great save before Raúl Moro's shot in the box sailed over the bar (59').
Four minutes later, Arda Güler got on the end of Fran García's cross but the keeper kept his effort out. The Turk once again tested Hein's reflexes with a shot that was just wide of the target. The match was being played at a furious pace, but it was Real Madrid who took advantage of this to carve out a string of goal-scoring opportunities. The best one came in the 79th minute, when Vini Jr. dribbled past Luis Perez, cut inside the area and set up Mbappé, whose back-heeled finish was kept out by a lucky save from the Valladolid goalkeeper.
Brahim scores and a debut goal for Endrick
Ancelotti then brought on Endrick, making his official debut in a Madrid jersey. In the closing stages of the encounter, Brahim doubled the lead when he took advantage of a long, deep pass from Militão. The Malaga-born player beat Cömert from midfield and lobbed Hein from inside the box (88'). There was more to come as Endrick made it 3-0 and rounded off Madrid‘s season opener at the Bernabéu with a right-footed strike.
